50+ Authors Describe Their WIP’s In One Sentence

hey everyone,

today’s blog post is potentially my favourite one I’ve ever worked on! I reached out to authors tasking them to describe their WIP (work in progress) in one sentence and they definitely lived up to the challenge! below you can find some exciting sneak peeks at over 50 authors WIP’s, including exclusives that have never been talked about publicly and a ton that haven’t been announced yet!!

🚨 an important disclaimer before we jump in 🚨: some of these WIP’s aren’t finished, do not yet have book deals, are still only in early stages etc so please don’t ask about publication dates or anything as there’s no guarantee they’ll definitely be published (this is why some may also be vague/short as not many details can be released)! i’ll also be leaving links to each authors most recent or upcoming book (support indie bookstores!!) and their websites for you to check out!

a huge thankyou again to everyone who took time to contribute, i hope you enjoy! feel free to comment which WIP you’re most excited about!

mols x

the symbols next to each sentence mean the following:

🙈- a book that hasn’t been formally announced yet OR has only been talked about vaguely on social media etc

🚨- an exclusive. this WIP hasn’t been talked about publicly before!

📚- announced and/or published next year or beyond

no emoji- the author hasn’t responded which symbol to use, they’ve talked publicly about it before or any other reason!

  1. So cool to read about all of these. after reading and falling in love with ‘Clap When you Land’ in August, I’m definitely very excited about Elizabeth Acevedo working on a multi-generational Dominican novel. Loved the absolute adoration for the culture and the land that was reflected in that text and those characters.

  2. Oh my god, this post is so amazing!! Everything sounds so interesting. Some favourites of mine were Chupeco’s vampire one, Kendare Blake’s vampire one (I like vampires a lot), Caitlin Starling’s, Molly Pohlig’s, Nghi Vo’s, Camilla Bruce’s, R.F Kuang’s, Chana Porter’s and K-Ming Chang’s! I did try to shorten that list but could not narrow it down because they all sounds incredible
